The labor-management systems of the private and public sectors are surveyed from the interdisciplinary perspective of modern industrial relations by analyzing three aspects. The nature and characteristics of labor-management relation are considered from such perspectives as the structural, historical, international, legal, psychological, and economic. Contract administration process and such issues as wages, economic supplements, institutional rights, and administrative rules. The two aspects are applied in a simulated collective bargaining exercise. Designed for students interested in labor-management relations in business, educational engineering, food service, government, health service, and social welfare organizations. Prerequisite: BUA/JUS/POS223. CR. 3
