This course introduces students to theory and research about the differences in communication between people from different cultures, including cultures within a single society. Emphasis is placed on how understanding different modes of verbal and nonverbal communication aids in learning how to live, socialize, and work effectively with a wide range of people. Prerequisite: SPCH 2308 or consent of instructor. Every other academic year.
