Part of the advanced course program and required of all students pursuing a commission in the US Army. Capstone course designed to explore topics relevant to second lieutenants entering the Army. Students describe legal aspects of decision making and leadership, analyze Army organization for operations from the tactical to strategic level, assess administrative and logistics management functions, discuss reporting and permanent change of station (PCS) process, perform platoon leader actions, and examine leader responsibilities that foster an ethical command climate. Laboratories include land navigation and small unit tactics. Prerequisite: MSL 4301 or instructor approval. Spring.
