Part of the advanced course program and required of all students pursuing a commission in the US Army. The course examines basic skills that underlie effective problem solving. Students analyze the role officers played in the transition of the Army from Vietnam to the 21st Century and review the features and execution of the Leadership Development Plan. Students are placed in leadership positions on campus and in field environments and analyze missions, plan military operations, and execute squad battle drills in laboratory. Emphasis is placed on physical conditioning and stamina. Prerequisite: Completion of all basic courses or equivalent. Fall.
