Topics include sets, methods of proof, functions, binary operations, the integers, divisibility, binary relations and partitions, modular arithmetic, groups, subgroups, group homomorphisms, cyclic groups, and cosets. Lecture format. Prerequisite: MATH 1592. Fall.
