An elective in the management major and minor. This course will examine labor-management relations in the contemporary US, considering both the internal dynamics of management and the structure and governance of labor unions. An emphasis is placed on the collective bargaining process and on emerging human resource management issues which relate to labor/employee relations in union and non-union organizations. The method of instruction is lecture and discussion. Prerequisite: Consent of instructor. On demand.
