An elective course of kinesiology and physical education majors. Course content is presented in two half-term sessions. The course emphasizes the history and fundamentals of round and folk dancing from various countries as well as instruction and practice in the techniques of teaching dance in educational, commercial and recreational settings. Lecture, activity, micro teaches, and a required 10-hour field experience scheduled outside of class meeting times. Prerequisite: Major status or consent of instructor. On demand.
