A required course for P-4 childhood education majors and taken as part of the academic content block during the junior year. The course emphasizes the development of skills, knowledge, disposition and strategies in activities appropriate for P-4 elementary physical education programs. Lecture, cooperative learning, peer micro teaches, and a required field experience including observation, participation and teaching in elementary physical education under the direct supervision of an elementary physical education specialist.
