This is a required course in the insurance and risk management major. The course is designed to aid in the planning and evaluation of the requirements of property and casualty insurance for individual and business firms. Analysis is made of exposures and appropriate insurance coverage. Company operations are examined, and the statistical and mathematical bases for rate-making are explored. Primary modes of instruction are lectures, discussions, and case studies. Prerequisites: INSU 3324 or permission of the instructor. Fall.
