Cartography today revolves around the study of the theory, science, and technology behind the production of maps and spatial databases. This computer lab-oriented, exercised-based course instructs students on cartograhic design and convention, the construction of reference and thematic maps using mapping software, and the collection and classification of geographic data for mapping. Fall, spring, summer on demand.
