An upper-division, lecture- and exercise-based elective designed for students interested in the variety of business and social science applications of GIS, such as site analysis, marketing analysis, sales management, crime analysis, urban planning, and historic preservation. The course examines example applications and enables students to use GIS software to complete computer-based exercises and for project development. Vector GIS is emphasized. Prerequisite: GEOG 3303. Spring.
