An upper-division elective. This course uses a lecture and discussion format in identifying geomorphic and atmospheric phenomena (e.g., floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes) that represent real hazards to the population. Human responses to the various natural hazards are assessed and common adjustments identified. Prerequisite: GEOG 1315 or consent of instructor. Spring, even years.
