The course introduces the teacher education candidate to a wide range of books for children from birth through grade four and to criteria essential to evaluating and selecting good literature. Lecture, discussion, writing. The course may not be counted toward the English major or minor. Prerequisite: Admission to teacher education. Fall, Spring.
