Designed for beginning riders or those wishing to improve their basic skills. Offers an introduction to the basic Western or English (separate sections) riding position and control of the horse at the walk, trot, and lope/canter. Upon completion of the course, the student will be familiar with handling and leading a horse, grooming, tacking-up and riding simple school figures in an indoor arena. Instructors for this course will be OSU-certified coaching students or graduates. May be repeated. This course is repeatable for a maximum of 4 credits.
