Credits: 1.5 Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) concept, protocols, services, and applications. The emphasis is on the standards and technology of ATM for local and wide area networks. Relation to broadband ISDN; ATM switching, multiplexing and transport; user-network and network-network interface aspects; ATM Adaptation layer; access switching; ATM wide area network switches; design and practice of networks based on ATM technology.
