Credits: 3 Introduces systems engineering and curriculum for BS in field. Introduces large and small systems, and explains them through some hands-on experiences. Key concepts include understanding requirements for system and translation of system-level requirements to component-level requirements. Several different kinds of example systems presented and discussed: objectives, major components, how system works, and major design issues. Each student gives similar presentation on system of choice. Students working in groups design, develop, and test system, and give oral presentation.
