Credits: 4 Students engage in close analysis of judicial opinions to explore the role of the courts in creating public policy. Areas of inquiry include the role of social workers in the legal system, the nature of legal proceedings, and how the law shapes policy in relation to issues affecting children, youth, families, older adults, women, minorities, people in poverty, and other vulnerable populations.
