Credits: 3 Surveys issues related to working with aged, their families, and care providers. Studies biological, psychological, and sociocultural aspects of aging, and unique problems with service delivery to aged persons. Examines forces that impinge on aged person, and explores critical issues related to extended life span, family changes, institutionalization, and role of aged persons in society. Students increase their sensitivity and knowledge of aged individuals through intergenerational lens. Prerequisites 45 credits, or permission of instructor.
