Credits: 3 Covers classical regression methods and their application to public policy analysis. Includes simple and multiple regression, analysis of variance, time series, and simultaneous equation structural models. Problems associated with applications include specification error, multicollinearity, qualitative variables, heteroskedasticity, serial correlation, and structural identification. Course develops analysis skills by discussing sample empirical studies and models using advance statistical computer software. Prerequisites PUBP 704 or equivalent.
