Correlates pathophysiology with symptom manifestations. Evaluates family, medical, and social history; physical findings; laboratory data; and radiographic studies as they contribute to the decision-making process. The theoretical basis for selecting pharmacological and nonpharmacological therapies is explored. Therapies are justified by examining the evidence to support them.
