Credits: 7 Building on skills developed in NCLC 110/111, designed for students pursuing a BA or BS in integrative studies within New Century College. Introduces natural sciences and their relation to mathematics. After building a knowledge base, students explore the natural world through contemporary issues. Discusses man and nature from biological, historical, and contemporary viewpoints, while developing an understanding of how science develops and communicates ideas. Students learn to work in groups to solve problems and work through issues, then publicly present ideas through debates, posters and various written formats.
