Credits: 1-12 Covers development of a research proposal under the guidance of a dissertation director and the doctoral committee. The proposal forms the basis for the doctoral dissertation. Prerequisites Admission to physics doctoral program and permission of advisor. Notes May be repeated as needed; however, no more than 24 credits in ASTR/PHYS 998 and ASTR/PHYS 999 may be applied toward satisfying doctoral degree requirements in the physics PhD program.
