Credits: 3 Surveys key ideas of the Frankfurt School and its legacies today, including the critique of ideology; aesthetic theory; instrumental rationality; and analyses of the state, culture, and society. Writings by members of the Frankfurt School draw on many philosophical and methodological strands: radical humanism, Marxist analysis, cultural criticism, psychoanalysis, and political sociology.
