Credits: 3 Literally, "writing about (a) people," ethnography is the defining practice of social-cultural anthropology. The product of participant-observation field work, ethnography brings together evidence and interpretation, providing a key means for developing and testing theories of culture. Course surveys key classical and contemporary ethnographies, introducing the breadth and scope of ethnographic practice in anthropology.
