(4 Units) Study and analysis of the use of science and technology in criminal justice. Focuses on the broad-based concept of the investigative crime laboratory in criminal investigations and crime solving. Explores topics such as the examination of soil, serology, and firearms. Students will be required to complete an assigned lab project. (Formerly Criminalistics: An Introduction to Forensic Science) Prerequisites: CJ 2250, CJ 2280, and CHEM 1100 or consent of instructor.
