Effective Aug 22, 2005 View History Description: Focuses on the success and/or failure of U.S. diplomatic and military interventions in such regions of the world as Central America, The Caribbean, and the Asia/Pacific region. Analyzes U.S. economic and diplomatic relations with Japan, Korea, China, Viet Nam, from a postbellum perspective. Examines the U.S. role during the 20th century revolutionary movements in Cuba, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. Taught in English. (Offered as interest warrants.)
