Effective Aug 22, 2005 View History Description: Examines major ideas of historical and contemporary political economists. Emphasizes concerns for gender equity in both public and private spheres. Examines contemporary feminist economic perspectives which evaluate the underlying constructs and assumptions of neo-classical economics. Provides insights into the relationships between gender and power relations in the economy (local, global) and at the work place, and inquires into economic issues affecting the lives of women, men, and children.
