Effective Jan 24, 2005 View History Description: Introduces students to a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to dealing with interpersonal violence and crime. Students learn a body of techniques and philosophies in martial arts styles, including Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Aikido, Jujitsu, Tai Kick Boxing, and Greco Roman Olympic Wrestling. "High vulnerability" situations are described through behavioral science studies. Participants are introduced to the social psychology of interpersonal violence through mental imagery and relaxation.
