Effective Jan 1, 2009 View History Description: Covers U.S. societies, government, and territorial and economic expansion from pre-contact Native America to 1920. Starts students on a teaching pathway addressing how they might teach this content, and prepares students for a major concentration in history. Emphasizes research and analysis of primary sources consistent with California State standards for teaching fifth and eighth grade U.S. history.
