Effective Aug 1, 2009 View History Description: What is Theatre? A sound? A movement? A place? A presence? In fact, Theatre is all of these and more. It is a shared experience between the live presence of actors on a stage and an audience. In Introduction to Theatre students examine elements of the history, aesthetics, and cultural impact of Theatre through five, distinct categories; namely, Plays, Acting, Directing, Stage Design, and Audiences.
