Effective Aug 27, 2007 View History Description: An introductory course exposing students to the field of athletic training. The role of the athletic trainer is explored in relation to the physician, coach, and athlete. Emphasis is placed on prevention, recognition, and treatment of the more common sports injuries. Topics include injury management, basic evaluation procedures, head and face injuries, spinal injuries, knee injuries, and lower leg, ankle, and foot injuries. (Offered spring semester).
