Effective Jan 1, 2009 View History Description: (Taijiquan pronounced Tai Chi Chuan) Consists of step-by-step progression to a Chen 26 Movement Form. Fundamentals include standing meditation, proper body posture, footwork drills, with quality of the each movement emphasized to rid the body of stiffness along with self-defense applications. Training in body mechanics, including whole-body twining or "Silk Reeling" exercises which increase mobility, promote relaxation, reduce physical tension and strain.
