Effective Aug 27, 2007 View History Description: A hands-on class that incorporates the four components of self-defense: awareness, avoidance, and verbal and physical techniques. Teaches verbal and physical self-defense skills from a standing position and from the ground. This class is essentially a rape-prevention course that aims to reduce fear and empower students with skills to defend themselves against physical, verbal and sexual attacks. Credit/no credit.
