Effective Aug 1, 2010 View History Description: Prepares students to report and write magazine articles about social issues. Outcomes include learning advanced journalistic and creative nonfiction interviewing, reporting techniques, and writing short feature and in-depth magazine stories. Focuses on training students to write a magazine story from conception and pitching the story to a magazine through reporting, organizing, writing, rewriting, and editing. Offers built-in assessment in HCOM MLO 2 or the concentrations in Journalism and Media Studies or Writing and Rhetoric. Requires instructor consent. (Offered every other year.)
