Effective Aug 1, 2010 View History Description: Develops students' critical and analytical reading ability of Holocaust literature from the perspective of Jewish culture. Students analyze such literature as Elie Wiesel's Night, Cynthia Ozick's Shawl, Irena Klepfisz' Dreams of an Insomniac, and Art Spielgelman's Maus, among others. Offers built-in assessment of HCOM MLO 6 or the concentrations in Literary and Film Studies, or Comparative American Studies. (Offered every other year.)
