Effective Aug 22, 2005 View History Description: Teaches basic signs and hand parameters in American Sign Language (ASL). Practices visual comprehension, signing, and basic expressive and receptive skills supports in laboratory setting. Teaches glossing system for written ASL. Uses class and extracurricular activities to teach the cultural aspects of ASL and the deaf culture. Requires active participation in instructor-coordinated multimedia and online activities as a mandatory component. (Offered every semester.)
