The establishment and maintenance of turfgrass are studied in this course. Lawn, golf course and athletic field care are emphasized. Laboratory experiences include: seeding, installing sod, fertilizing, mowing, spraying, aerating and other commonly performed maintenance practices. Students also will learn to identify the turfgrasses and important weed species.
