This course teaches students how to develop an integrated pest management (IPM) program for ornamental and agronomic crops. The purpose of an IPM program is to minimize the need for pesticides. The course is designed for students interested in protecting trees and shrubs, turfgrasses, floricultural crops, grains, forage crops, vegetables, and fruit crops from insects and diseases. Biological control of pests is emphasized.
