This course provides applied experiences in assorted construction techniques necessary in the development of landscapes. Included are: a survey of construction materials, including wood, brick, stone and concrete; deck design and construction; patio and walkway installation; mortarless stone wall construction; fencing; retaining wall design and construction; and landscape irrigation systems. Earthwork calculations and estimating materials are included. Required field trips supplement the classroom instruction.
