A study of the concepts and techniques used in the creation of raster-based images using image editing software. The course will cover the integration of raster and vector images in paper-based publications, and the creation and optimization of images for use in on-line documents. Particular emphasis will be placed on the application of the elements of design in all documents produced. Prerequisite: GART 251
