Topics of interest related to the genetic definition and control of qualitative and quantitative traits in varoius species of animals are presented. Genetic conservation programs and current animal improvement strategies as well as challenges presented by new developments in reproductive biology and molecular genetics are addressed in a distance learning format. Prerequisites: BIOL105, BIOL111 or permission of the instructor.
