This course provides an in-depth analysis of the required skills, resources, and techniques needed to transform an idea into a viable business entity. Entrepreneurial decision-making is stressed. Topics include: starting and managing a business, franchise/buy/start-up, location, layout, computers for the small enterprise, ethics and social responsibility. Among the course requirements is that each student will prepare a formal business plan. Prerequisite: BADM249 and/or ACCT101 or permission of the instructor.
