This course will emphasize the training and conditioning of thoroughbred horses for racing. Topics will include the initial education of young horses, equitation considerations when galloping, race track procedures, conditioning methodology and health management. Early mornings are required, as the student will assist in the training of horses located at the Oklahoma Training Track in Saratoga. Course may be repeated for credit.
