This course is required for students who intend to study abroad while at Fort Lewis College and is directed to students who will be independently participating on international exchanges, study abroad programs, or through direct enrollment agreements at foreign institutions. This course may be taken any semester before studying abroad and is designed to help students investigate the numerous destinations and programs available to them, as well as how these programs fit within the Fort Lewis College curriculum and credit transferability guidelines. General information on foreign academic systems and teaching methodologies, passports, visas, financial aid, and health and safety issues are also covered to help students make informed decisions on their program choices. It is during this section that students will evaluate how this experience will or will not fit into their academic plan. Students participating on FLC faculty run programs are not required to take this course, but are welcome. Credits: 1 Clock Hours - (Lect-Lab): (1-0) Pass/Fail Standing: The course is graded Pass/Fail.
