This course examines the role of insects in the investigation of crime. Prior knowledge of insects or crime scene procedure is not required. Topics include: use of insects in establishment of post mortem intervals (PMI), forensically important insect species, procedures for recovering entomological evidence from a crime scene and analysis of entomological data used in civil and criminal investigations. Prerequisites: CHEM 150 AND BIO 113 Credits: 4 Clock Hours - (Lect-Lab): (3-3)
