This course teaches students how to build financial models in Microsoft Excel, progressing from simple examples to practical, real-world applications. Topics covered span nearly all quantitative models in corporate fiance, starting with basic construct of financial statements and then moving into more advanced material such as performance evaluation, forecasting, valuation, and capital budgeting. The goal of this course is to bridge the gap between finance theory and practice by teaching students in a computer lab setting how Microsoft Excel is used as a tool to solve the financial problems faced by finance professionals and practitioners.
