3 credits. Offered spring. This course will examine chemical, physical, economic and regulatory aspects of the remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. Topics include chemical properties of major contaminants, environmental site assessment, remediation design, and current and emerging remediation technologies and their limitations in soil and groundwater restoration. Prerequisites: ISAT 320 and ISAT 321 or permission of instructor.
