3 credits. This course is designed to increase students' awareness and understanding of computer technology and its implications for individuals with disabilities. It will examine the accessibility of standard computer hardware and software as well as explore available assistive technologies designed to enhance computer accessibility and the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. Laboratory and demonstration experiences will enable students to better utilize devices and software in a variety of settings. Prerequisite: EXED 300, EXED 441 or permission of the instructor.
