3 credits. This course provides students with knowledge and understanding of the educational assessment of students with visual impairments and additional disabilities including deaf-blindness. Students practice assessing and planning educational programs for students with visual impairments. Also covered in this course are assessment technology for students with visual impairment; determination of learning needs and appropriate learning media; and the relationship of assessment, IEP development, and placement. This course is delivered via a distance education format. Prerequisite or corequisite: EXED 435.
