How have anthropologists, archaeologists, and museums represented Indian pasts to both academic and popular audiences, and in what ways have Indian groups responded to these efforts? This course will introduce students to the archaeology, ethnohistory, and museum studies of native Sociology/ AnthropologyHendrix Catalog 2008-2009 305 peoples of the Americas, and encourage them to question conventional assumptions that inform these areas of study.
